Our client is looking for an intelligent, analytical individual, who is passionate and committed to creating social change. This person will have experience in strategic consulting and financial due diligence, who is able to build and maintain international relationships and look for new investment opportunities. This role works across multiple time zones so a degree of flexibility is a must.
  
Investment Manager Responsibilities
  • Support the CEO by managing international donor relationships, thought partners, and domain experts.
  • Source and evaluate funding opportunities (mostly grants, sometimes equity or debt).
  • Conduct financial analyses and other research to support the portfolio review process.
  • Summarise due diligence findings in reports that are shared both internally and externally.
  • Make recommendations about funding decisions.
  • Continually assess investees' social impact, scalability, and capacity to deliver results.
  • Connect organisations in the portfolio and other referral sources.
  • Gather evidence, conduct research and identify industry trends that contribute to the overall knowledge of the business
Your Expertise and Skills
  • 5-10 years experience in analytical roles which could include consulting, Big 4 Corporate Finance, investment banking, private equity, venture capital or strategy experience in a commercial or corporate environment 
  • MBA or advanced degree in a relevant field, international exposure is preferred
  • Experience with complex investment structures, particularly those that can be scaled
  • Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with a range of stakeholders, including understanding different stakeholders’ motivations and the ability to influence and persuade
  • Deep experience in applying high-level analysis to complex issues
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • You must have the maturity, confidence, presence and ability to effectively represent the Foundation in NZ and offshore
