Risk and Compliance Analyst

Our client is a well established finance company with a long history in the NZ consumer financial services market.

They are looking to appoint a Risk and Compliance Analyst who will be responsible for carrying out independent reviews of the organisations internal processes to ensure compliance with policies and procedures and to review and ensure the adequacy and effectiveness of risk management policies.

The key responsibilty for the role is to identify and assess areas of significant risk. Including but not limited to:

• Working with the National Risk and Compliance Manager to compile and implement the annual internal audit plan
• Conducting assurance testing and analysis in accordance with the compliance assurance programme.
• Implementing best audit and business practices in line with internal audit statements and Audit and Risk Committee charter
• Identifying and reducing all business and financial risks through effective implementation and monitoring of controls

The ideal candidate will:

• Some exposure in audits and/or analysis work
• Have experience in a previous risk and compliance role ideally in a financial services environment.
• Have a sound understanding of lending procedures and policies
• Have an understanding of consumer credit law, CCCFA, AML /CFT and the FMCA
• Have excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Have high degree of self motivation and initiative
• Highly organised with a strong attention to detail.
